== Summary ==

Bliss is engaged in the search for a new vaccine to counter a virulent strain of malaria, but his scientific curiosity repeatedly draws him into investigations that extend far beyond conventional medicine. Over the course of the series, he becomes entangled in phenomena involving precognition, memory transference, telepathy, and a nationwide effort to contain a rapidly spreading, potentially catastrophic virus.

Alongside its scientific and speculative elements, the series places significant emphasis on family drama. Bliss, a widower whose wife died from Huntington’s disease, is raising his two daughters alone. The possibility that the hereditary condition may have been passed on to them remains a constant source of tension. During the narrative, Louise Bliss (Joe Hart) confronts the difficult decision of whether to undergo genetic testing to determine her own status.
