== Summary ==

Dr. Mitsutani operates a small laboratory where he repairs second‑hand electrical appliances and pursues independent mechanical research. Among his inventions is Taihei, a humanoid robot (voiced by Oikawa) who also works part‑time at a nearby noodle restaurant.

Within this setting, three couples, Matsuda and Tsukiko, Takemoto and Yukiji, and Umemura and Hanae, meet at the restaurant, develop romantic relationships, and eventually decide to marry. Impressed by Taihei’s gentle demeanour and novelty, they request that the robot serve as the official witness at their joint wedding ceremony.

Their plan, however, provokes resistance from local Christian and Shinto clergy, who view the idea of a “robot wedding” as inappropriate and as unwelcome competition to their own traditional, spiritually grounded services. Under pressure, the couples reluctantly agree to hold conventional religious ceremonies, yet still attempt to arrange their preferred celebration at the noodle shop with Taihei presiding.

The conflict is ultimately resolved through compromise, and the triple wedding proceeds with Taihei, a Shinto priest, and a Christian minister all serving as witnesses.
