== Summary ==

Earth comes under attack from the Black Cross Army, led by the alien Great Shogun (Ando), and only the secret Earth Guard League and its elite Goranger team stand between humanity and destruction. Using advanced scientific technology, the team is commanded by Takeshi (Makoto), the Red Ranger, who fights with a whip and a firearm. His second‑in‑command is the charismatic Blue Ranger Akira (Miyauchi), an archer skilled in combat. 

Ota (Hataeyama), the original Yellow Ranger, is a curry‑loving brawler who wields “demon power,” represented by a hand‑shaped weapon mounted on a staff. His tenure is short‑lived, as he leaves the series, ostensibly to oversee the Eagle Kyushu base, and is replaced by a new Yellow Ranger, Daigoro (Daruma). The original actor later returns before the series concludes.

Peggy (Komaki), the Peach Ranger and the team’s explosives specialist, employs heart‑shaped bombs, while the youngest member, 17‑year‑old Kenji (Ito), serves as the Green Ranger and fights with a boomerang.

In the tradition of Kamen Rider, another creation of manga artist Shotaro Ishinomori, the Gorangers operate customised motorcycles. However, the Peach and Yellow Rangers ride in sidecars rather than piloting their own machines. The team’s vehicles are transported by the Baribrun, a red‑and‑white helicopter gunship equipped with a long forward ramp from which the motorcycles launch.

The Black Cross Army deploys five Mask Monsters to destroy Eagle’s Japanese bases. The surviving agents regroup under Commander Edogawa in Tokyo, forming the Secret Task Force Goranger. Equipped with Goranger Suits that grant enhanced abilities, the team avenges their fallen comrades by defeating the initial Mask Monsters and the many adversaries that follow.
