== Summary ==

A reclusive scientist, having long abandoned his two children to pursue his research, finally succeeds in creating an advanced artificial‑intelligence robot in the form of a beautiful high‑school girl. When a dangerous group attempts to seize the invention, he entrusts the robot to his now‑adult children and disappears to protect his work.

His daughter, a high‑school teacher, enrols the robot, introduced as her American cousin Annie, as a transfer student at her school. As Annie attempts to navigate the unfamiliar world of teenage life, she begins to encounter the complexities of human behaviour and emotion. Her experiences raise questions about identity, autonomy, and the meaning of feeling, especially as she starts to understand powerful emotions such as love.
