== Summary ==
In ''2022'', ''Eliott'', a 30-year-old salesman, sends a message to the email address he used as a child to see whether it remains active. To his astonishment, he receives a reply from his ten-year-old self in ''2001''. Through an ongoing exchange of emails across time, the older Eliott provides advice and instructions that allow his younger counterpart to alter events affecting his family, friends, and ultimately his own future.

After revealing the correspondence to his parents, young Eliott is referred to psychologist ''Dr Sax''. Recognising Eliott's seemingly impossible knowledge of future events, including major world incidents and technological developments, Sax becomes determined to exploit the boy's abilities for personal gain. As tensions escalate, Eliott finds himself in conflict with Sax across both timelines, culminating in a confrontation in which a gun is pointed at the psychologist in both 2001 and 2022. The mystery of which version of Eliott is responsible for Sax's fate becomes central to the story.

Following a series of interventions that reshape the course of history, Eliott succeeds in creating a happier and more stable reality in 2022. However, just as his life appears to have reached a resolution, he receives an unexpected phone call from yet another version of himself, this time from the year ''2042'', revealing that his journey through time is far from over.
