== Summary ==

''Space Cases'' centres on the adventures of five ''Star Academy'' cadets who inadvertently board an alien spacecraft, the ''Christa''. Shortly after boarding, the vessel is drawn into a spatial rift that propels the crew seven years’ travel time from home, setting the premise for the series’ ongoing narrative of survival and exploration.

At the beginning of the second series, several cast changes were introduced. The opening episode features the arrival of ''Suzee'', though her introduction is immediately overshadowed by an imminent threat: the Christa comes under attack from three ''Spung Kill Cruisers''. The assault severely damages the ship’s navigation systems, leaving the crew with only one viable option, a blind ''hyper‑jump'' undertaken as a last resort. Although the manoeuvre saves them from destruction, the Christa subsequently crash‑lands on a planet where unpredictable and often hazardous phenomena occur.

One of the creators Bill Mumy is also famous as an actor and starred in shows such as [[Lost in Space]], [[Babylon 5]] and [[Twilight Zone, the]].
