Summary
On a storm‑soaked night, Yann Violine, a night‑shift physician, accidentally strikes a mysterious young woman with his SUV. Found naked, disoriented, and suffering from total amnesia, she is taken to hospital, where doctors discover she is infected with an unknown bacterium. She quickly forms an intense attachment to Yann and refuses to be separated from him, baffling both medical staff and police investigators.
Yann soon realises that the woman possesses extraordinary abilities, including mind‑reading and the capacity to exchange personalities, memories, and skills with those she touches. A strange Sumerian‑like birthmark on her left thigh deepens the mystery surrounding her origins.
As authorities struggle to understand her condition and the threat it may pose, Yann becomes entangled in a web of scientific intrigue, ancient symbolism, and escalating danger, with the woman’s identity, and the source of her powers, remaining disturbingly elusive.
