Summary
The narrative follows a group of Dutch students, Paul, Julian, Ralph and Douglas, who share a student house. Without warning, the building is subjected to violent tremors, after which the entire house and its occupants are inexplicably transported to the Moon. Confronted with their sudden displacement, the students must determine how to survive in their new environment and whether a return to Earth is possible.
In an attempt to obtain assistance, the four contact NASA, but their account is dismissed as implausible. At the same time, mundane practical problems arise, including the depletion of toilet paper supplies. These developments mark the beginning of a prolonged sequence of bizarre and unexplained occurrences that further complicate their situation.
