Summary

Italian remake of A For Andromeda.

Set in 1973, a team of scientists deciphers a mysterious signal from deep space and discovers that it contains detailed instructions for constructing an advanced super‑computer. Once completed, the machine immediately becomes a source of tension between two leading researchers, Fleming and Dawnay, who clash over its true purpose and the implications of its increasingly complex directives.

The computer soon issues a new set of instructions—this time for creating a living organism. Dawnay proceeds with the experiment, but unsettling events follow: the machine appears to influence lab assistant Christine into taking her own life, and when the organism finally matures, it assumes Christine’s exact physical form. The creation is named Andromeda, raising profound questions about the computer’s intentions and the nature of the intelligence behind the original signal.
