Summary
In 2022, Niko, a talented but arrogant fighter pilot, is selected for a groundbreaking private experiment: spending 24 hours in orbit inside a Russian capsule to test human cryopreservation. He is deeply in love with Marta, who is also pursued by his best friend, Bogdan. Shortly after reaching space, Niko begins hallucinating and accidentally resets the capsule’s timer to thirty years, triggering immediate sub‑hibernation.
By 2052, Marta has married Bogdan, and they have a daughter, Oliwia. When Niko’s capsule unexpectedly reappears and splashes down in the ocean, SkyCOMM—the company that launched him—recovers it and transports him to Russia. Nadia, once a child involved in his training and now suffering from ALS, hopes to use Niko’s stem cells to develop a cure.
Marta travels to Russia to bring Niko home, but SkyCOMM blocks her efforts. Niko, unchanged by time, eventually escapes custody, pursued by the company’s operatives.
