Summary
Aventuras en el Tiempo (“Adventures in Time”) is a 2001 Mexican television series performed entirely in Spanish. It centres on Violeta, a young pre‑teen girl who lives with her uncle after losing her mother shortly after birth and never knowing her father.
Although she primarily resides with her uncle, Violeta also spends time at her grandmother’s home. She has a boyfriend, Ángel, who gives her a pet dog. While staying with her grandmother, Violeta discovers a time machine built by her late grandfather, and she—along with several other children—begins travelling to different historical eras.
The adults eventually join the children on their journeys, leading them not only into the distant past but also into more recent decades, including the 1980s. There, Violeta encounters her mother as a young woman and witnesses both her own birth and the tragic circumstances surrounding her mother’s death.
