Summary
This fantasy‑adventure series, loosely inspired by the Arabian Nights, follows Sinbad as he returns to Baghdad after two dangerous years at sea, only to find the city under the inept rule of Prince Casib. Sinbad resumes his voyages with a diverse crew that includes his older brother Doubar, the young sorceress Maeve and her falcon Dermott, the inventive Firouz, and the silent warrior Rongar. Together they face magical creatures, sorcery, and supernatural threats.
The series became known for its blend of action, fantasy, and melodramatic humour. At the start of the second season, Maeve is swept overboard during a storm and presumed dead. She is replaced by Bryn, another sorceress who rescues Sinbad after he washes ashore. With her arrival, the tone shifts toward a more serious style, and Sinbad adopts a more mature appearance.
