Summary
As a child, Chris Sanders watched the supposed death of his father, astronaut Mathew Sanders, in a Soyuz explosion. What he never knew was that the disaster was staged to conceal the truth about the secret “Omega Mission,” created to stop AEON—an unidentified mass approaching Earth. General Gossett hid the project from the public, while his colleague McBain opposed the cover‑up and was institutionalized.
Ten years later, Chris becomes an astronaut himself. Before his first mission, McBain claims the accident was faked, and journalist Laura uncovers evidence supporting him. In orbit, Chris nearly dies when McBain hijacks a relay station, and he is saved only by his friend Nick.
Determined to uncover the truth, Chris and Laura investigate Project Omega, but their search is interrupted when the International Space Station is destroyed—killing Nick and confirming a deeper conspiracy. On a later mission to the Moon, Chris discovers a hidden lunar base and realizes he is finally close to uncovering the real purpose of Project Omega and the reason behind his father’s disappearance.
