Summary
Alienated follows the Blundell family of Victoria, British Columbia, who discover that the difficulties of ordinary life pale in comparison to an extraordinary new threat. Without warning, the family is repeatedly abducted by extraterrestrials, subjected to unexplained examinations and alterations, and then returned home with no ability to prevent or understand the encounters.
The Blundells struggle to maintain normal routines while coping with the physical and psychological consequences of these abductions. Embarrassed by their experiences and unable to convince friends, colleagues, or authorities of what is happening, they face their ordeal in isolation. The series blends domestic comedy with science‑fiction elements, using the family’s predicament to explore themes of secrecy, disbelief, and the disruption of everyday life.
