Summary
The series centres on six survivors of a commercial airline crash in the Brazilian Amazon rainforest. Shortly after the crash, the group encounters a hostile Indigenous tribe known as the Fierce Ones. They are subsequently taken in by a second, enigmatic community called the Chosen, a group presented as descendants of 16th‑century British colonists who disappeared into the rainforest. Relations between the survivors and the Chosen remain unstable throughout their stay.
Most of the group eventually escapes, only to become entangled with the Jaguar People, a cannibalistic tribe led by an unstable Canadian woman intent on subjugating the surrounding Indigenous groups. The first season concludes on a cliff‑hanger, and the planned second season was never produced.
