Summary
Reiji Matsushima is a brilliant physicist who discovers that the groundbreaking theory he has developed will ultimately lead to the deaths of both himself and his fiancée, Asahi Ando. In 2013, Reiji is killed in a catastrophic airplane explosion. A renowned and charismatic scholar known for his work on wormhole theory, he leaves behind an unsettling mystery: whether his research was the motive behind his death remains unknown.
Asahi, a talented and successful professional at a major IT corporation, had built a happy life with Reiji. After his sudden death, she becomes the target of an attempted murder, with no understanding of who is pursuing her or why.
Her world is upended once more when Lloyd—an individual identical in appearance to the late Reiji—suddenly appears before her. Lloyd has travelled from the year 2113 with a single mission: to protect Asahi from any threat. Unbeknownst to her, he fights relentlessly to keep her safe. Although he lacks any understanding of human emotions such as love, anger, or sorrow, Asahi’s initial discomfort gradually softens. In time, Lloyd begins to develop feelings he was never designed to experience.
