Summary
Reiji Matsushima is a brilliant physicist who foresees that both he and his fiancée, Asahi Ando, will be targeted because of a ground-breaking theory he has developed.
In 2013, Reiji dies in an airplane explosion. A renowned and charismatic professor known for his research on wormhole theory, he leaves behind a mystery: whether his work played a role in his death remains unknown. Asahi, an accomplished professional at a major IT corporation, is intelligent, capable, and admired by those around her. Her life with Reiji had been filled with happiness, but after his sudden death, she becomes the target of an unknown assailant. She has no understanding of why someone is determined to kill her.
At this moment, Lloyd—an individual identical in appearance to the late Reiji—appears before her. He has travelled from the year 2113 with a single mission: to protect Asahi from all threats. Unbeknownst to her, Lloyd engages in constant battles to ensure her safety. Although he lacks an understanding of human emotions such as love, anger, and sorrow, Asahi’s initial distrust gradually softens. In time, Lloyd himself begins to develop feelings he was never designed to experience.
