| 1 | 1 | MY NAME IS JAKE (1-2) | Jake's story is a strange one. He and his friends witnessed a bizarre light in the sky one night, which they initially assumed was a plane. However, they soon discovered that it was actually a vessel from another planet. This is where things took a turn for the unusual. The group was informed that the human race was under attack and offered the opportunity to defend themselves. As a result, Jake, Rachel, Cassie, Tobias, and Marco were given the ability to transform into any animal they chose. With this newfound power, they must use their wits to outsmart an evil force that poses a greater threat than anything the world has ever seen. | Jeff Vlaming, Neal Shusterman | Timothy Bond |
| 1 | 2 | THE UNDERGROUND | The Animorphs attempt to test the disk, but nothing happens. Jake and Marco quickly realize that someone very close to Jake is actually a Controller. To their shock, it's revealed that Jake's own brother, Tom, is a Controller. Jake becomes determined to rescue his brother and will do whatever it takes. The Animorphs decide to try and rescue Tom by morphing into fierce animals from the clinic where Cassie's mother works. Jake transforms into a tiger and Rachel becomes a lion. They use their newfound forms to try and free all the humans trapped in the Yeerk Pool beneath the school. However, their mission ends in failure: no humans are freed, Tom remains a prisoner, Tobias goes missing (likely captured by the Yeerks), and the disk is lost. | Jeff Vlaming, Neal Shusterman | Ron Oliver |
| 1 | 3 | ON THE RUN | The Andalite disk that Jake lost is still missing, along with Tobias. In Cyberia, Jake and Marco receive an email from the Yeerks offering a trade: an Andalite for the disk. The Animorphs plan to deceive the Yeerks by giving the Controller a normal animal, pretending it's an Andalite in morph. To execute this plan, Jake morphs into a lizard to use thought-speak.
However, things don't go smoothly. Marco is caught shoplifting by Jake, who is still in his lizard morph. Marco quickly morphs into a rat to escape. Meanwhile, Rachel and Cassie attend a The Sharing meeting with Melissa, where Rachel has morphed into a fly to gather information about The Sharing's upcoming plans. Back in the city, Jake and Marco think they've found the disk in a garbage dump, where Jake must morph into a dog to rescue Marco. But upon closer inspection, they realize the disk is a fake, and the Yeerks have been using it to track their movements. |

| 1 | 4 | BETWEEN FRIENDS | Tobias returns, but he is stuck in Hawk morph because he exceeded the recommended two-hour limit for morphing. Meanwhile, Rachel is concerned about Melissa, whose father is a high-ranking Controller, and decides to take action. Rachel morphs into a cat and sneaks into the Chapman household to rescue Melissa, who is on the verge of being converted into a Controller.
Unfortunately, Rachel is captured by Chapman and taken to Visser Three. However, Jake had been secretly observing the situation and morphs into a Dog to rescue Rachel. Taking advantage of the chaos, Jake and Rachel manage to escape. The distraction occurs when Chapman is trying to protect Melissa, the host's daughter, from being turned into a Yeerk. |

| 1 | 5 | THE MESSAGE | Cassie and Tobias suspect there may be another Andalite on Earth because they've been hearing strange noises from a distance. These noises were accompanied by episodes of convulsions, and they overheard a cryptic thought-speech message that sounded like a crash-landing and a plea for help. Since Rachel was at her father's house, the Animorphs investigated the situation and discovered that there indeed was another Andalite on Earth. Furthermore, this Andalite had already contacted Visser Three.
With this new information, the Animorphs embarked on a mission to locate the source of the distress call. If the Yeerks reached the Andalite first, it would inevitably become a Controller. Cassie, Marco, and Jake eventually found the Andalite, but their initial attempts to establish communication were met with skepticism. The Andalite did not believe their claims of being allies of the Andalites. However, Cassie's resourcefulness, morphing into a Skunk, allowed her to save Ax, and they managed to escape by morphing into Butterflies. It was later revealed that Ax had somehow acquired the DNA patterns of each Animorph (except Tobias) and was transformed into a new individual. |

| 1 | 6 | THE ESCAPE | At the diner, Rachel, Marco, and Ax encountered George Edelman, a man who claimed to have a Yeerk in his brain. The Yeerk's presence allowed Edelman to provide the Animorphs with valuable information about the Yeerks. According to him, the Yeerks have a unique craving for Instant Maple Oatmeal, which they cannot control, and they are always present in their hosts' minds. Additionally, Edelman revealed that the new Yeerk Pool was located beneath the entire town.
The Animorphs gained a new tool to combat the Yeerks, but they struggled to find a way to utilize it effectively. They couldn't use it against the Controllers, as it would essentially harm the enslaved hosts rather than the enslavers. While dining at the restaurant, the Animorphs attempted to infiltrate the Yeerk Pool, but their efforts were thwarted by a Gleet BioFilter, which eliminated all life forms without Yeerks in their brains. Luckily, they managed to escape as cockroaches. Realizing that direct infiltration was impossible, the Animorphs devised a plan to dig underground as ferrets and reach the Yeerk Pool directly. Upon arrival, they tossed oatmeal into the pool, but their actions soon attracted unwanted attention. A Hork-Bajir warrior attacked Tobias, and Rachel responded by morphing into a lion to clear a path through the human Controllers. |

| 1 | 7 | HOME | The Animorphs uncover a secret weapon that could be used against the Yeerks. | ||
| 1 | 8 | THE ALIEN | Jake, Marco, and Ax went to the theater to watch a movie. However, Ax became so fixated on popcorn that he began frantically crawling around the ground, searching for more. When he eventually sat back down to watch the film, he saw a scene that reminded him of his home planet. It was then that he remembered he needed to contact his home world.
Despite fighting alongside the Animorphs for as long as he'd been on Earth, Ax had always seemed distant and wary of humans. This behavior was puzzling, given his close involvement with the group. The Animorphs decided to take Ax back to Marco's house, where he was overwhelmed by the spicy food prepared by Marco's father. After dinner, Ax suddenly broke into a nearby satellite company, modifying the computers to allow him to make a phone call to his home world. Jake and Marco also snuck in, morphing into lizards to avoid detection. As soon as Ax made contact with his father, he revealed the shame of having given Andalite technology to the lower species of the Elfangor. He took full responsibility for the transgression, despite disobeying the law of Seerow's Kindness. However, this was not the only challenge Ax faced. The Yeerks were closing in on him, and he became determined to avenge his humiliation at the hands of Visser Three. The Animorphs intervened, using their Tiger and Wolf morphs to rescue Ax and escape with their Lizard morphs. In the end, Ax came to realize that the Animorphs were his true friends and that he should no longer keep secrets from them. |

| 1 | 9 | THE REACTION | Cassie and Rachel intervened to save a boy from a crocodile pit, but the experience caused Cassie to morph uncontrollably. She had also become allergic to crocodiles.
Cassie was invited to appear on the Larry and Linda Show, where Jason Jon McCole, a famous star, was also a guest. He was promoting his club, The Sharing. However, Cassie's morphing was getting out of control. Before she could do anything to stop it, she involuntarily "burped out" the defective crocodile DNA that had caused her problem in the first place. She then used her new, uncontrollable morphing ability to stop Jason Jon McCole from promoting The Sharing to his millions of enthusiastic female fans. The crocodile, which had escaped from the pit, was on the loose, but the Animorphs managed to stop it. During the chaos, Marco morphed into a llama, while Jake and Ax turned into beetles. |

| 1 | 10 | THE STRANGER | Rachel's father wants her to join him on a visit to the famous gymnast, but he also hints that he wants Rachel to move away with him. As Rachel grapples with the decision of whether to stay or go, a more pressing concern emerges: Ax is being captured by the Yeerks.
The Animorphs know they cannot let the Yeerks take another Andalite host, and they certainly cannot allow them to capture a close friend. The Animorphs decide to intervene, but their efforts are foiled when they're caught in a net. Visser Three is closing in, and all seems lost. Just when it seems like the situation can't get any worse, a mysterious, glowing blue man appears - he's an Ellimist. The Ellimist has the power to stop time and gives the Animorphs a choice: stay and fight the Yeerks, or travel to another world with their families. The Animorphs see a vision of the future, and it's a bleak one: the Yeerks have taken over Earth. Despite the odds, the Animorphs decide to stay and fight. To help them escape the Yeerks, the Ellimist shows them a scene from the past, and Rachel uses a knife from that scene to morph into a lion and defeat the Controllers while the others rescue Ax. |

| 1 | 11 | THE FORGOTTEN | Rachel transforms into a hawk to search for Tobias but takes a fall and becomes unconscious. She crashes into a tree and, upon regaining consciousness, finds herself with a lost memory: her friends, the Yeerks, the Animorphs! She narrowly escaped being turned into a Controller.
She encounters Fran, a former Controller who has gone crazy, and Fran wants to trap Rachel to eliminate the Controller presence in her mind. However, Rachel is confused and presses Fran for answers, but Fran doesn't care, viewing Rachel as Andalite scum. Rachel eventually makes her way to a Controller camp, where she is taken in by its leaders, Brad and John. Meanwhile, the Animorphs are frantically searching for her, using the keen sense of smell that Jake's morphed dog, Homer, possesses. The Controllers are unaware of Rachel's identity but recognize her potential to become a Controller. Marco morphs a wolf to distract the Controllers, and they take Rachel back. The Animorphs try to remind Rachel of her true identity by morphing a tiger, which Jake does. Finally, Rachel remembers and morphs a lion. Once she regains her memories, she recalls everything. |

| 1 | 12 | THE CAPTURE (1-2) | Jake's father is on the verge of opening the Health and Wellness Centre, a division of the hospital where he works. At dinner, Jake learns that Victor Trent, also known as Visser Three, is a partner in the clinic's creation.
Jake decides to visit the centre, where he finds an excessive number of security personnel. The Animorphs, curious about the security measures, investigate and discover that the governor is infested with Yeerks. Ax scans Marco's video card to respond to human codes, and the Animorphs enter the building as cockroaches, searching for the Yeerk Pool. Upon finding the pool, the Animorphs destroy it in a room, but Jake accidentally falls into the pool. The Animorphs don't realize that Jake is a Human Controller, which he remains unaware of as well. Initially, it seems that the governor has been saved without incident. However, Ax becomes suspicious when he sees Jake, and he realizes that Jake is a Controller. The Animorphs then restrain Jake and keep a close watch on him for three days. Ax takes Jake's place, pretending to be him at dinner and school, performing exceptionally well. The Yeerk uses Jake's memories in a psychological war, targeting Cassie's romantic feelings for him. To prevent a Yeerk from taking over Jake's body, Rachel comes up with a plan. If there is a Yeerk in Jake's brain, it will die from Kondorona Rays. When Rachel pretends to be asleep, Jake morphs into a dog and tries to escape to the nearest Yeerk Pool. However, the Animorphs track him down, with Rachel as a lion, Marco as a wolf, Cassie as a horse, and Ax still pretending to be Jake. The Animorphs discover another entrance to the Yeerk Pool, and the Yeerk is forced to escape Jake's body, which Jake then destroys. Ax sets up a system that allows Jake to contact Tom, his brother, in a different voice, assuring Tom that they will fight alongside him and never give up. |

| 1 | 13 | TOBIAS | Ax has invented a device called a Darktech Detac, which is similar to a diary. It allows users to relive their memories by entering their own minds. Tobias, Ax's closest friend, is the first to try the device.
Tobias uses the Detac to revisit his past, going back to the time before he became an Animorph. He recalls his first days at a new school, where he met a girl named Rachel, and the frustration he felt after a confrontation at a construction site. He also remembers a conversation with a mysterious old man and the experience of acquiring his first morph, the Red-Tailed Hawk. Ax also uses the device, and Tobias gets to see a memorable day from Ax's human life. Ax, using his human morph, decides to learn more about human culture and transportation. He leaves the barn to visit the mall, where he encounters various challenges. Ax struggles to understand human transportation and gets into trouble with a taxi driver, who refuses to drive him because he doesn't know how to pay. Ax also bothers a teenager playing a game at Cyberia, which earns him a punishment. Eventually, the taxi driver takes Ax on a lift and drops him off in a park because Ax didn't have enough money to pay. During his adventure, Ax meets a kind girl who offers him ice cream, but he doesn't know how to respond, so he morphs into a dog and returns to the barn. Through this experience, Tobias learns a valuable lesson: what's on the outside is not as important as what's on the inside. |

| 1 | 14 | NOT MY PROBLEM | Jake was feeling depressed after a terrible day and wished he had never met Elfangor. An Ellimist, granting his wish, decided to do so because of Jake's efforts in the fight against the Yeerks.
As a result, Jake, Rachel, Cassie, and Marco were unaware of the invasion and lived a normal life once again. However, this new reality came with a twist: Tobias had still met Elfangor. The world was turned upside down, and no one knew who to trust. The Animorphs, now back to being ordinary kids, were now infested by Yeerks, except for Tobias. He desperately wanted to recruit more kids to his team, hoping to find a way to defeat the Yeerks. Tobias morphed into a lizard to gather information and discovered that Jake was actually a Yeerk. He realized he could only trust Rachel. Tobias tried to convince the others about the threat of parasitic alien slugs, but no one believed him. At the Spider Party, Marco acted strangely, and Cassie found a slug in the bathroom, further hinting at something amiss. Tobias asked Rachel to meet him at the closed Spider Club, suggesting they investigate where the Yeerk pool was. However, when Tobias morphed into a lion, he discovered that Rachel was also a Yeerk. This revelation meant that the Yeerks now knew Tobias was the only one who knew about the invasion, and Jake had become Visser Ten. A Yeerk was about to infest Tobias, but the real Jake tried to regain control from within. Jake found himself back in his room, with nothing out of the ordinary having happened. The Animorphs were still morphing, and none of them had a Yeerk controlling them. |

| 1 | 15 | THE LEADER (1-2) | Marco is painting while Jake discovers that Visser One will be attending the EGS Tower, a location housing the Kandrona, a device that nourishes the Yeerks, as well as a mock Yeerk sun. Now, all they need to do is find a way to infiltrate and destroy the Kandrona.
The Animorphs attempt to spy on the Yeerks, but the Yeerks possess a Morphing Detector. When Jake and Marco morphed into lizards, the alarm sounded, and the walls closed in on them. The Yeerks capture Jake and Marco in a spacecraft and blast off, en route to the Yeerk pool ship. To escape, they must find a way to evade their captors. After their escape, they become disoriented within the Yeerk Mother Ship and stumble upon a surprising revelation: Marco's mother is alive, under Visser One's control. Meanwhile, Cassie and Rachel travel to the EGS Tower to break the Kandrona. Returning to the barn, they find Ax waiting for them, while Jake is still struggling to escape the pool ship. However, Marco is hesitant to leave his mother behind, now that he knows she is alive. They have no choice but to leave, as staying risks being caught by the Yeerks. The Animorphs decide to hijack a Yeerk blade ship to make their escape. Rachel and Cassie use Ax's guidance to help Jake and Marco find their way back to Earth. They safely return, but a new enemy has been exposed. |

| 1 | 16 | THE RELEASE | The Animorphs discover that the Yeerks are struggling to provide enough Kandrona Rays for their Controllers, leading to a high number of infected hosts suffering from illness, including Tom. This shortage is causing a significant number of Controllers to die. One of them is the Yeerk controlling science teacher Mr. Perkins. As a result, Mr. Perkins has become determined to free other Controllers.
Jake and Marco attempt to rescue Tom, but they inadvertently learn that Mr. Perkins is actually a free Controller who is also trying to help Tom escape. However, Tom manages to evade his captors and soon gathers a group of Controllers to track down Mr. Perkins. Fortunately, Jake, in tiger form, and Marco, in wolf form, arrive in time to scare off the Controllers and protect Mr. Perkins. The two groups decide to join forces, and Jake visits Mr. Perkins at the camping site to discuss their plan of cooperation. |

| 1 | 17 | FACE OFF (1-2) | The Animorphs attend the district finals basketball game, where everyone is planning to go. It's Ax's first sporting event, and everyone is excited, especially Jake, who is a huge basketball fan. However, when he tries to spy on Tom while in Lizard morph, Jake gets trapped inside Tom's backpack. Unbeknownst to Jake, Tom had been hiding the Andalite Disk in his room the whole time.
At the same time, Rachel and Cassie morph into Rats and investigate Chapman's involvement. They discover that Chapman thinks he has the Disk, but in reality, he doesn't. Meanwhile, Ax spills juice on Chapman, searching his pockets for the Disk, but it's nowhere to be found. Jake gets trapped near the Yeerk Pool, and Chapman steals the Disk from Tom's bag. Tobias quickly grabs the Disk and unlocks it, allowing him to morph again. He returns to human form, and Rachel meets up with him outside, unaware that he's morphed back. Rachel is surprised to discover that Tobias is human again and tells him about the Yeerk plot. They decide to get to the Yeerk Pool, but to get past the scanners, Rachel will need to morph into a Yeerk using the DNA pattern saved on the Disk. She crawls into Tobias's head, using the Yeerk morph. Meanwhile, Chapman announces a Tornado Warning, sending everyone in the auditorium to the basement shelter. However, this is actually the Yeerk Pool, where the Yeerks are waiting to infest the students. Marco, Cassie, and Ax are unaware of the danger, while Jake is trapped in a room, morphed into a duplicate of Tom. Tom thinks Jake is an Andalite and is ready to use him to unlock the Disk. Cassie and Ax are ready to be infested, while Tobias and Marco come up with a plan to rescue Jake. Jake morphs into a duplicate of Tom, allowing him to escape. However, when Visser Three enters the room, he sees two Toms: the real Tom and Jake in Lizard morph. |

| 2 | 1 | FACE OFF PART 3 | The infestation continues as Visser Three tries to determine which one is the true Tom. Rachel, still trapped inside Tobias as a Yeerk, is growing increasingly frustrated as she refuses to remain in the Yeerk morph any longer.
Meanwhile, Cassie and Ax are rapidly approaching the infestation pier. Ax has only minutes left before he must demorph, and he will be the next to become a Yeerk. Cassie, unable to morph as a human, is unable to intervene in front of the Controllers. Marco discovers that Jake has morphed into Tom, and he takes action to help the other Animorphs. Marco destroys the special Yeerks, causing Jake (in Tom morph) to react to their screams and investigate. At the same time, Visser Three and his Human Controllers seize the real Tom. The alarms sound, and Cassie and Ax make a break for it, with Ax morphing back into his Andalite form in a hidden location. Marco morphs into a cockroach and dodges boulders as he attempts to escape, while Jake, still trapped in the Tom morph, tries to follow. As all the Animorphs escape, Jake is still missing. The group must search for him, but in the process, they discover that the real Tom has also escaped. Cassie eventually finds Jake. |
Rhonda Olsen | Don McCutcheon |
| 2 | 2 | MY NAME IS EREK | Jake and Marco were stunned after witnessing a kid their own age perform a superhuman feat of strength. The kid, Erek, had just run in front of a car to save a dog, and miraculously, he wasn't even scratched, while the car was destroyed.
To their further surprise, Erek followed them back to Cassie's barn, where he revealed his secret after Jake and Marco transformed into dogs to investigate. Erek had no human scent, and he explained that he was part of an android race called the Chee, created by the Pemalites for non-violent beings. Now, Erek needed their help. The Yeerks had stolen the Chee hologram crystal, planning to use it to hide Yeerk pools from human eyes, creating the illusion of holograms. Erek couldn't touch the crystal himself, as it would destroy his hologram, so he required assistance from the Animorphs. Jake, Rachel, and Erek devised a plan to find the crystal and steal it. Meanwhile, Cassie and Marco waited in the forest, where they were to meet Ax, who was late due to being engrossed in a cooking show and following its instructions. Erek used his garbage can hologram to distract the Controllers, while Jake and Marco snuck into the area where the crystal was hidden. They managed to steal the crystal, but their escape was soon thwarted when the Controllers broke free and began to chase them. |
Jeff Schecter | Don McCutcheon |
| 2 | 3 | THE FRONT | Ax lands a job at a new electronics store, where the owner aggressively pushes him to sell as part of their massive cell phone promotion. When Tom purchases two phones, one for himself and another for his latest crush, Melissa Chapman, Jake and Marco become suspicious. They decide to investigate the situation and follow Tom, only to discover what Ax is really selling. | George Melrod | Graeme Lynch |
| 2 | 4 | CHANGES (1-3) | The Animorphs were eager to put their alien-fighting skills on the backburner and enjoy the school's spring dance. Rachel was particularly excited, having convinced Jake and Cassie to double-date with her and Tobias. However, her enthusiasm was short-lived as she and Cassie embarked on a disastrous shopping trip to find the perfect dress. The trip took a turn for the worse when Cassie discovered that the cosmetics company they were considering shopping at tested their products on animals. Enraged, she convinced Jake to join her in breaking into the laboratory to free the animals, but their plan backfired.
As the day continued to spiral out of control, Marco, exhausted from a previous battle, attempted to morph into a human in private but was caught by a boy taping him. To make matters worse, Tobias refused to take Rachel to the dance, Marco couldn't find a date, and Ax was acting even more strangely than usual. Compounding their problems was the threat of Harold Nesbit, a notorious computer nerd, who had discovered Marco's morphing and was planning to send a video of it to a TV show for a large reward. Marco and Jake attempted to steal the tape from Harold's property but ended up with the wrong one. When they discovered that Harold had already sent the tape to the TV show, they decided to sneak into the studio and retrieve it. However, their plan was foiled when they discovered that a new executive, none other than Visser Three, was in control of the studio. Meanwhile, Cassie and Marco discovered that Ax was secretly building a ship to return to his home planet. As the spring dance drew near, Tobias was distracted by a mysterious graffiti image of a hawk popping up around the city. He suspected that someone knew about his hawk morph and decided to investigate. Meanwhile, Marco was conducting his own investigation after noticing a suspicious construction worker hanging around school. His investigation revealed that his friends were in grave danger. |
