Summary
During the early Edo period (1603–1868), the ninja organisation Chiguruma Tō (“Blood Wheel Clan”), led by Majin Sai, sought to unite Japan under its own rule. Among its elite members was Hayate, who initially believed the clan’s aims were honourable until he uncovered its darker ambitions.
Hayate’s father, Tani no Majyū, had created Ninja Henshin Jutsu, a transformative art enabling warriors to become Keshin Ninja with powerful spiritual abilities. Majin Sai attempted to seize this technique to create an unstoppable army. When Tani no Majyū refused, a Yōkai Ninja was sent to steal the secrets, resulting in his death. Before dying, he passed the technique on to Hayate.
Using this power, Hayate transformed into the super‑powered ninja Arashi (“Storm”) and vowed to destroy the corrupted clan he once served.
