Summary
Are You Afraid of the Dark? was an anthology series aimed at young adults, primarily focused on horror but occasionally incorporating science‑fiction themes. Episodes with science‑fiction elements included “The Tale of the Captured Souls,” in which a young girl’s parents begin to age rapidly; “The Tale of the Thirteenth Floor,” where a new toy factory offers children free tours in an attempt to locate those descended from aliens; and “The Tale of the Renegade Virus,” in which a boy becomes trapped inside a virtual‑reality game infected by a computer virus. Most other stories centred on ghosts or paranormal occurrences.
