Summary
Humanity’s final bid for survival unfolds a century in the future, when the interstellar vessel Ark One departs a devastated Earth carrying a selected population of colonists bound for Proxima Centauri b. Designed as a self‑sustaining ark for long‑distance spaceflight, the ship becomes critically compromised after a catastrophic event eliminates nearly all senior officers and technical personnel.
In the aftermath, the remaining passengers must reorganize the chain of command, assume essential operational duties, and preserve the vessel’s functionality under increasingly adverse conditions. The continued viability of the mission depends on their capacity to maintain internal stability, respond effectively to emergent threats, and ensure Ark One remains on course toward its intended settlement world.
