Summary
Hayakawa Yui is a sixteen‑year‑old student distinguished primarily by her exceptional running ability. Following the creation of a prototype time‑travel device by her reclusive yet intellectually gifted younger brother, she is inadvertently transported to Japan’s Warring States period. There she encounters Hagi Tadakiyo, the young lord of the Hagi clan, with whom she develops a deep emotional attachment. Upon returning to the modern era, Yui learns from a high‑school instructor that the Hagi clan is historically fated to be annihilated. Determined to alter this outcome and preserve Tadakiyo’s life, she seeks a means to return to the Warring States period, marking the beginning of her sustained involvement in the historical conflict.
