Summary
Heavy Armored Beetle Fighter follows Earth’s defence against an interdimensional invasion launched by the Jamahl Empire, ruled by Emperor Gaohm and his generals. As Jamahl prepares its assault—heralded by abnormal insect activity—the Japanese branch of Earth Academia develops bio‑machinery based on beetle exoskeletons.
During an expedition, entomologist Takuya Kai encounters the extraterrestrial Guru, who warns of Jamahl’s arrival and enhances Earth Academia’s technology, enabling the creation of living insect‑based armor. Three individuals receive B‑Commanders and become the first B‑Fighters: Takuya as Blue Beet, Rei Hayama as Reddle, and Daisaku Katagiri as G‑Stag. They battle Jamahl’s monsters across Earth and its alternate dimensions.
Mid‑series, Mai Takatori replaces Rei as Reddle. Jamahl later deploys Black Beet, revealed to be Shadow, a clone of Takuya. To counter him, Guru’s son Kabuto joins the team. The series concludes with Gaohm’s defeat and a crossover finale featuring heroes from Janperson, Gun Gibson, and Blue Swat as they confront the demonic entity Jaghoul.
