Summary
The series follows the Barankin family, a tenth-generation dynasty of professional drivers whose work takes them throughout Moscow and the surrounding region. While transporting passengers, they frequently become involved in unusual and unexpected situations.
Members of the family possess a variety of extraordinary abilities, including shapeshifting, time manipulation, and telepathy, which help them navigate their daily lives and maintain their reputation as highly regarded taxi drivers. Their routine is disrupted when Varvara Barankina, the family's ancestor and the first Barankin cab driver, is suddenly transported from the past to present-day Moscow.
Faced with the challenge of returning Varvara to her own time, the family becomes embroiled in a conflict involving a mysterious adversary who is searching for her. As they investigate the reasons behind her arrival, the Barankins must use their abilities to protect Varvara and uncover the motives of those pursuing her.
