Summary
Four thousand years ago in China, a precursor to modern Kenpo emerged: the Beast‑Fist style, created by the martial artist Brusa Ee, founder of the hidden Beast Origin Village. Beast‑Fist was conceived as a discipline that channels the attributes of animals while cultivating inner spiritual harmony.
Dissension fractured Brusa Ee’s ten disciples. Three students embraced a darker philosophy, believing that human suffering and hatred could be weaponised to amplify their strength. By drawing on this corrupted energy, they assumed monstrous forms and became known as the Three Fist Demons. After murdering Brusa Ee, they gathered followers and developed an evil counterpart to the original art: Confrontation Beast‑Fist Akugata.
The remaining seven disciples rejected this path, insisting that true power must arise from inner discipline rather than negative emotion. A devastating war followed, ending only when the seven used a forbidden sealing technique to imprison the Fist Demons’ power. The victory came at a cost: they forfeited their human forms and became the Seven Fist Sages.
Their followers established the Fierce Beast‑Fist Beast Arts School, a righteous discipline that enhances the human body through self‑generated positive Qi known as Fierce Ki. The school is overseen by Grand Master Sha‑Fu, one of the Seven Fist Sages, who operates behind the façade of a sports equipment company called SCRTC.
In the present day, a former student named Rio abandons the Fierce Beast‑Fist path and embraces the Confrontation Beast‑Fist style. Rebuilding the Confrontation Beast Hall, he resurrects long‑dead practitioners as kyonshi to harvest Confrontation Ki, the dark counterpart to Fierce Ki. His ultimate goal is to revive the Three Fist Demons and surpass all limits of strength.
To oppose this resurgence, Sha‑Fu has trained two young disciples, Ran Uzaki and Retsu Fukami. They are soon joined by Jan Kandou, a feral youth raised by tigers near the Beast Origin Village. Together they form the Gekiranger team, later reinforced by additional Beast‑Fist users, to confront the ambitions of the Akugata. Yet an even greater malevolent force manipulates both factions for its own hidden purpose.
