Summary
Bo is introduced as a young girl endowed from birth with powerful supernatural abilities that she is unable to regulate. As her abilities intensify and become increasingly unpredictable, the group responsible for safeguarding her is compelled to seek external assistance. Their search leads them to William Tate, a man wrongfully convicted of murder and awaiting execution on death row. Recognising his potential importance to Bo’s survival, they orchestrate his escape from prison and place her under his protection.
Although Tate initially resists the responsibility thrust upon him, his relationship with Bo gradually develops into a mutually transformative bond. As they travel together, the pair assist individuals they encounter, often guided by Bo’s emerging abilities, while simultaneously evading the hostile forces determined to capture her. Over time, their partnership becomes central not only to Bo’s safety but also to Tate’s own path toward redemption.
