Summary
According to legend, Batman, the caped vigilante and protector of New Gotham, shared a profound and complex relationship with Catwoman, the prominent figure within the city’s criminal underworld. Their union resulted in the birth of a daughter, Huntress, a half‑metahuman who inherits aspects of both parents’ legacies. Assuming her father’s mantle, she operates under cover of night to defend the vulnerable and uphold justice.
Huntress is joined by Oracle, formerly Batgirl and once Batman’s protégé. After being gravely injured during the conflict between Batman and the Joker, she transitions from field operations to a strategic role, becoming a master of digital intelligence, surveillance, and remote coordination. Oracle serves as mentor, tactician, and trainer to emerging heroes.
Together, they take in Dinah, a young runaway with metahuman abilities that allow her to access and influence hidden aspects of the human mind, powers she is only beginning to understand.
Collectively, Huntress, Oracle, and Dinah form the core of New Gotham’s clandestine defence network, operating as the Birds of Prey, a team dedicated to protecting the city from threats both human and metahuman.
