Summary
BIT is a Colombian science‑fiction mini‑series that centres on Richie, a teenager from contemporary Cali who discovers an anomalous ability to travel through time, triggered by music and heightened emotional states. His first involuntary displacement sends him to 1978; a subsequent shift transports him to 1986, where he finds the past altered in unexpected ways. Individuals he previously encountered no longer recognize him, and María, the young woman with whom he had formed a romantic attachment, is now involved in a volatile relationship with Pedro, a charismatic yet violent figure within a rebellious youth subculture.
Relying on intuition, his affinity for retro music, and a small group of allies, Richie attempts to re‑establish his identity, confront the consequences of his earlier actions, and navigate a social landscape that no longer aligns with his memories. Framed by a nostalgic soundtrack and pronounced 1980s aesthetics, BIT explores themes of belonging, personal identity, and the notion that temporal forces may operate independently of human intention.
