Summary
Black Scorpion is set in the crime‑ridden metropolis known as the City of Angels, a stylised analogue of Los Angeles depicted as suffering from systemic corruption and ineffective law enforcement. Amid the city’s escalating disorder, police officer Darcy Walker adopts a clandestine vigilante persona, becoming the masked crime‑fighter Black Scorpion. While constrained by legal and institutional limitations in her official capacity, she pursues criminals with far greater autonomy under her alter ego, embodying a form of extrajudicial justice characteristic of classic comic‑book vigilantism.
