Summary
Set in an alternate version of 1999, Blood Drive unfolds in a dystopian America reshaped by the “Great Fracking Quakes,” a series of catastrophic seismic events that physically split the nation in two. The quakes created a vast chasm known as the Scar, running roughly along the former path of the Mississippi River. From the depths of this ravine, the megacorporation Heart Enterprises uncovers anomalous materials and technologies that allow it to entrench itself across every level of American political, social and economic life.
Environmental collapse has further destabilised the country: water has become scarce, and the cost of gasoline has risen to prohibitive levels. Against this backdrop of resource scarcity and corporate dominance, the series presents a violent, hyper‑stylised vision of a fractured future.
