Summary
In a future where Earth is destabilised by escalating crime, pollution and global conflict, an alien force known as the Space Mafia launches an invasion, exploiting humanity’s weakened state. In response, the Japanese government forms an elite tactical unit, Blue SWAT, to counter the extraterrestrial threat. The aliens operate by possessing human hosts to infiltrate institutions and advance their objectives.
The unit is soon compromised when an alien entity takes control of Blue SWAT’s commanding officer, enabling a devastating attack that destroys headquarters and kills all but three members: Sho, Sara and Sig. Retaining their combat suits and specialised equipment, the survivors establish an independent investigative organisation, Blue Research, from which they continue their mission. Operating without official support, the trio wages an ongoing battle against the Space Mafia’s covert invasion.
