Summary
Set in an ostensibly tranquil desert enclave in New Mexico, the narrative centres on the residents of a high‑end retirement community administered by an unnervingly cheerful corporate staff. Their orderly existence is disrupted when they uncover a clandestine conspiracy involving a subterranean supernatural presence and a cult devoted to harvesting youth. As the scope of the threat becomes clear, the community’s inhabitants are forced to confront the forces operating beneath their idyllic surroundings.
