Summary
Taylor portrays both a scientist and the principal antagonist, the Recorder, so named for his habit of issuing instructions and threats exclusively through recorded messages. His scheme to destroy the Panama Canal is ultimately thwarted by Neal and Clark, who uncover and foil his plot.
