Summary
The series centres on the Dester Army, a militaristic organisation that uncovers an ancient statue identified as the God‑Demon Goora. According to legend, the statue possesses the supernatural ability to produce diamonds when exposed to the sound of children’s cries. Seeking to exploit this phenomenon, the Dester soldiers begin assaulting Japanese children and recording their cries on VHS tapes, which they subsequently replay directly into Goora’s ears in an effort to generate limitless wealth.
Opposing this threat are the Bycrosser brothers, the only individuals capable of countering the Dester Army’s activities and preventing the exploitation of Goora’s powers.
