Summary
Bo disappears suddenly and without explanation, leaving no trace of her existence. Her twin brother, Noah, a dedicated amateur boxer, appears to be the only person who retains any memory of her. Disturbed by the impossibility of her erasure, and by the absence of even a single photograph documenting her life, Noah resolves to uncover the circumstances behind her disappearance.
His investigation leads him to the Vincke family, an influential and insular dynasty whose privately owned theatre appears to be central to the mystery. In order to gain access, Noah is compelled to join their elite choir, The 12, a world far removed from the working‑class boxing environment in which he was raised. The Vincke and Noah’s family have long been antagonistic toward one another, making his infiltration both socially fraught and personally challenging.
As Noah becomes entangled in the Vincke family’s world, he begins to recognise unexpected parallels between the two households. Through unlikely alliances formed within the choir, he moves closer to understanding the dark and complex truth behind Bo’s disappearance.
