Summary
In Captain Nice, William Daniels portrays Carter Nash, a mild‑mannered police chemist who accidentally discovers a formula that grants him superhuman abilities. Encouraged, often forcefully, by his domineering mother, he reluctantly adopts a costumed crime‑fighting persona. She not only insists he use his powers for heroic purposes but also designs and sews the loose‑fitting costume he is compelled to wear. Despite his hesitation, Carter assumes the identity of Captain Nice while attempting to conceal his newfound abilities from colleagues and the public. Candy Kane, a dedicated police officer, serves as his primary romantic interest, though Carter frequently regards this relationship with ambivalence.
