Summary
The plot centres on the murder of the owner and chief chemist of a major chemical corporation (Hall) and the ensuing struggle involving his daughter (Marsh) and a detective who joins her in pursuing the culprit. The antagonist, Avion (Marba), has stolen and perfected the chemist’s experimental formula for a fluid capable of rendering a person invisible.
Throughout the serial, the detective and Marsh repeatedly evade Avion’s traps and attacks through the use of various scientific devices, including a small cylinder concealed in Kennedy’s shoe that proves to be a powerful explosive, as well as a specialised radar system. Avion, in turn, employs his own array of technological gadgets, such as a mechanism that can silence an aircraft’s engines and radio‑controlled missiles.
