Summary
In The Champions, three secret agents crash‑land their damaged escape aircraft in the mountains of Tibet after completing a mission to steal a lethal bacterium from a laboratory in Red China. Near death, they are rescued by a mysterious figure who not only heals their injuries but, with the aid of an ancient civilisation, endows them with extraordinary abilities. These enhancements grant them telepathy, heightened strength and endurance, and exceptionally acute sight and hearing.
As they evade their relentless Communist pursuers, the agents gradually discover the full extent of their new powers. Upon returning to duty with NEMESIS, a secret organisation headquartered in Switzerland, conspicuously marked by a sign openly declaring its identity, the trio find that their superhuman abilities prove invaluable in confronting global threats and undertaking high‑risk missions.
