Summary
The interdimensional empire Vyram begins its assault on Earth by destroying the Skyforce command vessel Earth Ship. During the catastrophe, Aoi Rie, beloved of officer Ryuu Tendou, is pulled into space and presumed lost. Ryuu survives alongside Commander Odagiri.
Earth Ship had been the site of the J‑Project, an initiative designed to create superhuman operatives known as Jetman through exposure to Birdonic Waves emitted by the Force Gun. Ryuu and four Skyforce officers were intended to become the inaugural team.
When Earth Ship explodes, four stray Birdonic Waves escape into the atmosphere and strike four civilians. Using Birdonic Wave detection equipment, Ryuu and Odagiri locate these individuals, including the reluctant Gai Yuki, and assemble them as the new Jetman team. Ryuu soon discovers that Rie has been resurrected and transformed into Maria, a leading figure within Vyram, forcing him into direct conflict with the woman he once loved.
