Summary
The narrative follows 17‑year‑old Emma, a resident of the Danish town of Middelbo, where a meteor impact seventeen years earlier created a large crater that continues to attract visitors. When unusual phenomena begin to occur, including the reception of a mysterious signal, Emma uncovers indications that the supposed meteor may have been an extra-terrestrial spacecraft. These revelations cast doubt on her own origins and prompt her, together with a small group of friends, to investigate the town’s hidden connections to the event.
