Summary
The ninth entry in the Toei Fushigi Comedy series is set between the human world and the hidden Chinese Demon World, a realm ruled by the selfish Gomoku Highness. The heroine Paipai lives in this demon world and is in love with Raymond, whom His Highness transforms into ramen in an attempt to force Paipai into marriage.
Pursuing Raymond, now in ramen form, Paipai escapes to the human world and becomes a temporary housekeeper for the Takayama family. While she dresses plainly in daily life, she transforms into her magical Chinese Makai attire when confronting supernatural trouble.
The Takayama household consists of Yukio Takayama, an archaeologist parodying Indiana Jones, and his three foolish sons. Additional characters include Yukio’s eccentric sister Sangenjaya Babaa and the bumbling demon subordinates Nuruhachi and Taklamakan, sent by His Highness to capture Paipai. Their repeated clashes generate a series of comedic incidents that disrupt everyday life in the city.
