Summary
Set in New Orleans, Louisiana, the series follows teenagers Tandy Bowen and Tyrone Johnson, two young people from markedly different social and cultural backgrounds whose lives become intertwined after a catastrophic event, the collapse of the Roxxon Gulf Platform. In the aftermath, both develop extraordinary abilities: Tandy can generate and manipulate light, while Tyrone can access and control darkness. As their relationship deepens, they discover that their powers function with far greater strength and stability when they are together. United by this bond, they begin using their abilities to confront injustice and address the harm they see around them.
In the second season, Tandy and Tyrone turn their attention to a series of disappearances involving local women, uncovering a criminal operation orchestrated by the manipulative Andre Deschaine. Their investigation is further complicated by the emergence of Mayhem, the violent and uncompromising alter‑ego of police detective Brigid O’Reilly, whose methods frequently clash with their own.
