Summary
Grecko Abesamis (Gutierrez) is a young man devoted to protecting his family, though they remain unaware that he leads a covert double life. To them, he is an ordinary relative; in reality, he is Agent Phoenix, one of the most skilled operatives of The Advocate, a clandestine organisation dedicated to eliminating criminal elements worldwide. The Advocate’s principal adversary is The Empire, a rival secret agency intent on destroying The Advocate and expanding its own influence.
The narrative begins when The Advocate deploys Agent Phoenix on an overseas mission. While operating in Dubai, Grecko encounters Emily San Juan (Evangelista), with whom he forms a connection. During this assignment, The Empire uncovers his true identity and devises a plan for retaliation.
The Empire abducts Grecko’s sister and demands her release in exchange for a powerful software program known as Project: Hercules, a tool essential to their malicious agenda. Forced into compliance, Grecko embarks on a perilous mission to retrieve it. The operation proves catastrophic; he is critically injured and left near death.
A Japanese scientist discovers Grecko in this state and attempts to save him through an experimental and highly delicate procedure. The operation succeeds physically but erases all of Grecko’s memories, both his life as a devoted family man and his role as The Advocate’s elite operative. Reborn through cybernetic enhancement, he emerges as a powerful cyborg designated Codename: Asero.
