Summary
Set in the 24th century, Cold Lazarus depicts a dystopian Britain where the streets lie in ruins and public safety has collapsed. Society is dominated by powerful commercial corporations controlled by American oligarchs, whose influence shapes every aspect of daily life. Authentic experiences have largely vanished; most human activity now takes place within virtual environments, while once‑ordinary items such as coffee and cigarettes have been banned or replaced with synthetic alternatives.
