Summary
In a dystopian near‑future Los Angeles, humanity lives under the Transitional Authority, a militarised regime serving an alien species known as the Hosts. Following the global blackout of the Arrival, the Hosts erected massive walls that divided cities into tightly controlled colonies, where movement, resources, and technology are strictly regulated.
Daily life is dominated by curfews, surveillance drones, rationing, and the threat of forced labour at the lunar Factory. A privileged local elite collaborates with the occupiers, while an underground Resistance and a barter‑based black market emerge in response to the oppressive rule.
