Summary
The series presents a humorous portrayal of life in a Britain that has been occupied and administratively reshaped by the Russians. Centred on an ordinary family living in Londongrad in 1999, the programme uses domestic situations to explore the absurdities of everyday existence under the new regime.
Storylines include Reg’s ill‑fated attempt to take his family to the seaside in his newly acquired Skrova, an outing that ends with the vehicle being swept out to sea, and the family’s discovery of a lavish gathering of wealthy revellers, prompting them to question whether the experience is real or merely a dream.
