Summary
City Protective Services (CPS) officer Kiera Cameron (portrayed by Rachel Nichols) lives with her husband and son in the year 2077, within a corporatocratic, oligarchic North American Union governed by the Corporate Congress, a technologically advanced, high‑surveillance police state. When the militant resistance group Liber8 escapes execution by travelling back to 2012, Kiera is involuntarily transported with them.
Stranded in the past, she partners with Detective Carlos Fonnegra of the Vancouver Police Department and secretly enlists the assistance of teenage computer prodigy Alec Sadler, who is destined to become a powerful corporate oligarch. Together, they work to locate and disrupt the plans of Edouard Kagame and his followers, while Kiera conceals her identity as a time‑traveller and searches for a way to return to her family in the future.
