Summary
The story is set in a near-future Japan where a mysterious drug known as DOPE has become widespread. Yuto Saiki, a newly appointed narcotics control officer, is transferred to the Special Investigations Division of the Narcotics Control Department, a secretive unit whose existence is concealed from the public.
Upon joining the division, Saiki is assigned to work under Teppei Jinnai, an instructor who leaves a deeply unfavourable first impression. Despite their conflicting personalities and fundamentally different approaches, the two are forced to work together alongside the division's other members to investigate a series of mysterious and complex cases. As they confront the threats posed by the proliferation of DOPE, they become increasingly involved in incidents that test both their abilities and their beliefs.
