Summary
After a devastating virus wipes out Earth’s population, humanity’s last decision is to launch a group of teenagers into space in cryogenic suspension. Five centuries later, the crew awakens aboard their vessel with no memory of who they are, how they arrived there, or where they are headed. They soon learn that they carry enough genetic material to repopulate Earth, now long destroyed by the plague, and that they may represent the final hope of the human race.
But survival is far from guaranteed. Their ship is relentlessly attacked by hostile alien species and by the scattered, dangerous remnants of humankind. As the six cloned crew members struggle to stay alive, they begin to recover fragments of the memories belonging to their original genetic “siblings.” These resurfacing memories shape their personalities, destabilise their identities, and threaten to unravel the fragile unity they depend on.
