Summary
Dr. Rudy Monro, an impulsive young scientist at Cambridge University, uncovers two children with extraordinary psychic abilities while overseeing her department’s research into Directed Linked Thought Activity (DELTA). Fourteen‑year‑old Julie Stone experiences vivid visions of hidden mysteries, while ten‑year‑old Ed Curtis generates immense kinetic energy in his sleep, often leaving his home in chaos to the bewilderment of his parents.
When the children’s combined powers produce catastrophic results that jeopardise the DELTA project, Dr. Monro, still a spirited child at heart, pleads with her superior, Professor Quealey, for another chance. Instead, she finds herself packing up her high‑tech trailer and taking to the road with Julie and Ed, pursuing unexplained phenomena and uncovering sinister schemes.
